Divisional Meet, Trinity Invitational, Pep Rally & Banquet

Dear Stingrays,

The end of the season is upon us, and it will be fast and furious.  Please read this email and contact me with any questions at [email protected].

  • Thank you to those who have logged on and RSVP’d either YES or NO for Divisionals at Klein Forest on Saturday, June 21st.  Remember, this meet is for EVERY swimmer who has participated in at least 2 dual meets.  If you haven’t RSVP’d, please do so ASAP.  The Divisional Meet is divided into 2 meets ON THE SAME DAY.  The 10 and Under meet will begin at 8:30 AM (Check in is at 6:30, warm up is at 7:00).  The 11 and Over meet will begin at 1:30 PM (check in is at Noon, warm up is at 12:20).
  • If your swimmer qualified for the end-of-season Trinity Summer Classic meet, it is up to you to tell me if he or she will be swimming.  If I don’t hear from you by the end of the Divisional Meet on Saturday, I will assume it’s a “NO” and your swimmer will not be entered in the meet.  Meet entries are due to the meet organizers on Sunday, so I must know by the end of the meet on Saturday.  The times they swim at Divisionals can count as qualifying times.  It is up to you to be aware of these times and know if your swimmer qualifies that day.   The attached document is a list of everyone’s times, as of the Rivershire Meet last Saturday.   Sprint Sizzler times are not included in the list, but they do count as qualifying times. (FYI:  the attached document says “Trinity Classic: 10 & Under” but it includes all swimmers.)  Green times mean they qualify for Trinity.  Red times mean they don't.
  • Some Trinity info:  The Trinity Summer Classic is held at the Conroe ISD Natatorium behind the Portofino Shopping Center in Shenandoah off David Memorial Drive.  The 10 & Under Meet will be on Saturday, June 28th and the 11 & Over Meet will be on Sunday, June 29th.  Both meets start at 8AM.   The team will cover the cost of 2 individual entries per swimmer and all relay entries.  All other individual entries are $5/each.  There is a 3-event bonus rule.  All swimmers who qualify for 3 events will be allowed to enter any remaining event.  Further information about Trinity Summer Classic can be found on the NWAL.org website under the Invitationals tab.  Qualifying times are on page 2 of this document.
  • Don't forget that this Friday, June 20th  is our Pizza Party and Pep Rally at the Front Pool after night practice!
  • Finally The Swim Team Banquet is on Monday, June 23. The tickets are $12 per person. Stingray swimmers and children 4 and under are FREE. We are having Hasta La Pasta for dinner, awards, and fun activities at the pool.  The LAST day to purchase tickets is Friday, June 20.  Contact Jeri Rose for more information: [email protected]

It’s been a GREAT season!  Let’s finish strong.

Jean
