Volunteer Position Descriptions

(The remaining meets will have different shifts and times)

Clerk Runner/Helper

FACE COVERING REQUIRED

Clerk runner will take lane timer sheets to the scribes on deck and retrieve them during the meet and deliver to clerk helper, who will then verify times

Shift 1: event 1 - event 39

Shift 2: event 40 - meet end

Concession Stand

FACE COVERING REQUIRED

selling food and drinks, making coffee, etc.

shift 1: 6:15am - 9am (includes set up)

shift 2: 9am-12pm

shift 3: 12pm - end of meet (includes clean up)

Day Before Set Up

5:15pm Friday evening

Setup includes meet flags, tents, chairs, ready bench, signage, etc. Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds at least 25 yards

Day of Meet Set Up

Arrive at 5:30am.

Help with tent set up, ready benches, trash cans, etc. Heavy lifting required!! Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds at least 25 yards

Head Timer

Keep back up stop watches for timers, stop watches provided

Merchandise Table

sell merchandise

Parking Lot Attendant

Put out cones and pick up at the end of shift. Monitor reserved parking area 5:30am - 8am

Ready Bench

Line swimmers up for events by lane and heats. Fast paced, need to be assertive and be able to speak loudly and be good with kids.

Swimmer Checkin

Swimmer check in will begin at 7am in front of the flag polls.

Assist swimmers and families with checking in and getting events written on the childrens arms. Sharpies are provided

Take Down

Starts 5 events before the conclusion of the meet. Taking down tents, putting away all equipment. Must be able to lift and carry 30 pounds at least 25 yards

Timers

Trash Haul Away

Post meet trash haul off. You take all of it and get rid of it at your choice of location. Usually about 12-12 bags- FULL SIZE TRUCK REQUIRED!!

Water runner/Restrooms/Trash Monitor

Assist in providing water on pool deck to officials, timers, and scribes. Refill restrooms with Toilet paper, keep trash off floor, report/handle any malfunctions with the facility. Empty trash cans around pool and set up area including visitor area.

 Night before Concessions Set Up

Arrive Friday night at 5:15pm. Bring coolers and appropriate amount of drinks from storage area to the clubhouse. Fill coolers with ice and drinks for the next day. This will take about 2 hours and requires lifting.
